I didn't say that, so you need not refute it.
The reason managers are paid more is because they are the ones held
accountable.
The converse might also be said: they're held accountable because
they're paid more. ;-)
If you, Mr. Manager, don't know enough to recognize when your
subordinates have done their jobs *properly*, then you haven't done
your homework and are cheating the company.
Well, of course, that's what customers are for -- to QC our products. ;-)
