Philo Agora's last talk for the year ,and its Christmas function,
will be Tuesday .December 11. Sam Alexander will present " A
Light-hearted, Philosophical look at Christmas."
A short whimsical talk on Christmas from early Christian traditions,
through to modern Santa Claus commercialisation. The speaker will
conclude by asking, "Where does todays practices leave us in respect
to our Christian values, ethics and morals?" (in a light hearted way)
Sam , a founding member of Philo Agora, a technologist by
profession, holds a Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Theology from
the University of Sydney.
Next Tuesday we will have our end of year Christmas celebration.
<>The charge will be $10 a head. for which the cafe will provide the
food Philo Agora will provide wine. You are invited to bring your
preferred drop as well. Coffee or tea this time will be at your
expense. The evening starts at 6:30 for the food and wine. The talk
will commence at 7:30.
Next Tuesday December 11 , the Fair Trade Coffee House, 33 Glebe
Point Road, Glebe, $10..00 this time , includes a meal & wine, 6.30 -
9.00pm ,
