Philo Agora's talk next Tuesday, April 29 will be Mary
Hendriks: The Philosophy behind Buddhism.
One of the fastest growing religions, particularly in the West,
Buddhism exhibits a number of philosophical underpinnings that are
worth deep consideration. Mary's talk will examine this underlying
thinking, and will include reference to the contemporary Buddhist
author, Stephen Batchelor and his book Buddhism without Beliefs.
Mary coordinates a government program for developing the business
skills of young entrepreneurs. Her many interests include kayaking &
contemporary thinking about values and society.
Tuesday April 29 at the Fair Trade Coffee House, 33 Glebe Point
Road, Glebe, $6.00 includes a free cup of coffee or tea. 7.30 -
9.00pm. If you want a meal, come early, as the chef goes off at
7.30. All profits from the Fair Trade Cafe go to Third World development.
