Dear M-Tx users,

I'm a novice in MusixTeX-land, but very enthousiast about the product. I
started a week ago by installing MusixTeX and PMX, and after some
starting-up problems I got my first pmx-files processed. So far Yippee.

Since I want to input a lot of simple Brazilian lyrics, which is quite a lot
of work, M-Tx can really help me. I read the manual and the readme, but
can't figure out why my M-Tx installation and the examples provided don't
work. I did the following:

1. download the Zip-file: "mtx052.zip", put it in separate directory
2. extract all the files from mtx052.zip
3. open MS-DOS box and type: prepmx mozart

This results in the following error:

==> This is M-Tx 0.52 <Music from TeXt> <29 October 1998>
Writing to mozart.pmx
No music paragraphs!: ERROR on line 1

1. Running with -v and -i results in an endless loop, which I can only stop
by ^C.
2. Running prepmx for other files result in the same error.
3. The mtx files look nice, so I don't see the problem
4. My MusixTeX and PMX environment seems to work more or less, so even if 5.
I copy all the M-Tx stuff to a directory where PMX-files are sucessfully
processed, I get the same error.

Can anyone give me a hint?

Thanks in advance,

Gert.
