As you know it, pmx can use D< ... D< only in the same input block. But
when you introduce a meter change, you need two separate blocks. So, you can't use the pmx command D< and you have to code the crescendos with inline TeX commands.
This means that i cannot have postscript hairpins on this?
As far as I can see you _do_ get postscript hairpins with Olivier's in-line TeX expressions. To verify that you may try commenting out the pmx 'Apl' directive and see what happens when you TeX compile the outcome of the pmxab processing step.
