There are about 100 things that can happen to your disk unrelated to
leaving it on all the time. This would be pretty low on my list of
things to worry about. Make sure you have multiple backups of your
data, leave it on, and enjoy!  edit: by the way, your disk WILL go bad,
it is just a matter of when. Could be next week, could be 7 years from
now.
