It is not a rhetorical question. It's ok to be not be in favor of certain technologies and methodologies.
By way of analogy, come election day, the voting machine only tallies who I voted for, not who (or what) I am against. Thus, people asking for help and insight (on this list) probably want to know why others choose to go (or not go) in certain directions. Yet, in the end, what they really want is a recommended fix.
