Hi ,

Sun Desktop Access Client will be available on MacOS X and Linux in the
next version of Sun Ray Server Software, and new Sun Ray (version 3 of
the thin clients) will soon be released, if Oracle do not change the
actual plans.

The most interesting aspect is integration: you don't have to buy a Wyse
device with Citrix agent to run Windows 2003 running on XYZ HW, everyone
bringing it's own piece of firmware/SW/OS/licence : You just take Sun
Ray thin clients, connect it to the network, with a remote Sun Ray
Server Software Stack running on top of Solaris (SPARC/x64) and that's
it. You have a standard and unbreakable (forgive me this term) Desktop.
You can make dual, quad and even 32 screens on one single session, move
between locations and have a "follow me" session with your Java Card.

And what is cool is that you take take over your session from outside
the company with the Sun Desktop Access Client (SDAC), on a desktop or
a laptop.

Need to access Linux OS from Sun Ray ? Choose Sun Ray Server Software
for RHEL or SLES
Need to access MS OS from Sun Ray (virtulised or not) ? Sun Ray Windows
Connector plugin for Sun Ray Software.
Don't have a Sun Ray thin client ? SDAC for Windows (today) and
MacOS/Linux (tomorrow).
Need access on a mobile ? Sorry, that's not the target of Sun Ray. The
target is to have a enterprise Lightweight Desktop. But, if you need to
access your desktop/applications from a browser (Mobile Java based),
it's still possible with SSGD (Sun Secure Global Desktop).

If someone want to test the SDAC for MacOS X (for SRSS 4.2), please
contact me directly.
