We will see...

Citrix Client run on a lot of OS including iphone/iPad. If the OS runs
on a specific HW, then the Citrix Client runs on it.

You can setup Chip-Card Access on Citrix too. Follow me Sessions where
on Citrix in MetaFrame XP 8 years ago...
Screens aren't relevant. You need Apps (the success of iPhone). Citrix
has puplished apps for years. You can run the apps independent on
which Server the app is presented.

all available on Citrix too - no leading technology, sorry!

On an Application presented by Citrix like VNC or xMing you can
connect to each XServer - without additional Software installed. The
Network between the Servers should be very fast. Commonly on the same
Subnet.

The Key to Success is the availability of the Client Access Software.
Compare Citrix Client vs. SDAC and you understand the market share of Citrix.

> Need access on a mobile ? Sorry, that's not the target of Sun Ray.
Why not? Do you still believe in Standard
Client-/Server-Infrastrukture as defined 10 or 15 years ago?? knock
knock ... wake up Neo!
The range of client devices are changing. If you can't grant access
from such devices you can't sell your products.

Java became faster... but the GUI still sucks! And JVM needs a lot of
memory these days! Possibly too hungry for mobile devices.

And if you compare the price of your Lightweight Desktop (700$ upward)
with a strong FAT-Client for the same or cheaper Price - why should i
buy less when i can get more? (For example mac mini, same starting
price)

Sorry for representing the position of Citrix and argueing against
sun's competing solution. I try to stay objective. Sun had it's
strenght/leading on a lot of products but lost market share and it's
leading position on several products.

They are still leading on some products. I hope Oracle knows and focus
on them and release the rest to OpenSource.

The Time will show what will happen... until then, keep your eyes and
your mind open.

Best regards.
