I have been considering getting a new mac this year. I had been trying to hold out until a G5 laptop came out. So, what I may do is try to catch a cheap G5 on the assumption that the next generation of software will have the fat binaries and run on either. Then get a MacTel laptop.
Or ... If a can't snag a cheap G5, I may limp along with my upgraded 7300 ...
