Was wondering if anyone on this list was using a MIDI keyboard with their Mac and OS X, and if so, are they using the serial port, or usb, etc. I have a Beige G3 and have a MIDI coverter box that plugs into the serial port, and worked with OS 9. Are there any cheap adapters out there? My keyboard is an older keybard and does not have a usb connection or a built in MIDI coverter or tranlator. It uses the standard MIDI cables. Thanks.

You need a USB MIDI converter, pretty much... there's no serial port support in OS X.

that's wrong

System Profiler:

  Modem Model: 3rd Party Modem
  Modulation: V.90
  Firmware Version: 030179
  Driver: com.apple.driver.AppleSCCSerial (v1.3.0)
  Country: 0

also the Network Pref Pane shows up a Modem Port

I have a blue&white with a analog modem on serial port with a stealth port serial upgrade with Tiger

afair I used this modem with a Umax S600 and Panther
