Why not then change you mail client if that's your major hang up?
Personally I think tiger mail offers more control than previously as
you can now at least access your servers mail box and delete files -
selectively - with out having to resort to downloading them - hold
cntrl key down whilst pressing mouse button in mailboxes pane and
select get info. Here you can also control mailbox behaviors and a
brief summary of what the account settings are.
As for iPhoto thread I disagree with every ones comments that v6 is
slow - I have inexcess of 10000 slr pic and under v5 it was
agonisingly slow to launch and quit particularly on my wifes iBook
1.3 G4 (I now have G5 with 2gig RAM - I know this is unsupported list
- used to have 9600 running Jag) - I used iPhoto diet and wrote my
own automator script to move redundant pics etc and rebuilt database
files regularly. V6 now takes a bounce and about 2 seconds to launch
and present application for use and less than a second to quit. As I
don't leave all thumb nails open (which is stupid anyway) I was
actually excited by the release of V6. However don't get me started
on the way it now files modified pics and originals - that sux
against how it used to be done as it makes cleaning up so time
consuming and painful
