It is open source software, Axb. If you think it will take.you hundreds of hours unbilled for you to make the change on your system, you can easily add the code for the stubs and aliases back whenever 4.1 comes out.
That is one of the great things about oss is you control your destiny. With aslv2 you are free to change the code, fork the code or even distribute the patch if you feel that strongly about it.
