I'm sure it is good story too.  *Any* story to do with Texas is apt to
be good, I mean, how can it not be?  (That's a completely rhetorical
question.)  Everybody knows the fact that everything is bigger, and by
implication, better, in the great state of Texas.  Let's hear it for
Texas!

On a slightly less obnoxious note, tomorrow is the Texan equivalent of
the American 4th of July.  On March 2, 1836, the Texas Declaration of
Independence was signed.[1]  The siege of the Alamo happened the same
month, and Texas won its independence from Mexico at the Battle of San
Jacinto on April 21, 1836.[2]   On December 29, 1845, after nine years
of sovereignty, Texas was annexed into the Union.
