I'll second that. I have a thinkpad, and since I got it, it's had ubuntu, debian, fedora and freebsd loaded on. Wireless worked quickly and easily in all of them (the ipw2200 and ipw2915 cards are supported beautifully), and I haven't had any complaints whatsoever.. -- http://www.tuxgirl.com
