My wife's Viao also had a ton of hardware problems. The DVD drive
died, the battery died, dock didn't work correctly, and the plastic
case had a chunk fall off...

Some people might like them, but I could never recomend one.

If I had to get a laptop now, and could afford it, I'd probably get a
Thinkpad. I think they're kind of ugly, but they sure feel solid.
