Generally speaking, the "Intel <Adjective> Graphics" graphics cards are
awful for any sort of 3d acceleration. I'm really not sure how they
would hold up with Xgl though. From what I've read about the 9600 and
the x300, you'd probably want to choose the 9600 (the x300 is a PCI-E
card without any onboard memory). If I were you, though, I'd try to get
a nice nVidia card. I hear setting up ATI's 3d drivers is painful.
Speaking of Xgl, has anyone on the list set it up? I've been musing
over the idea of playing with it, but I haven't gotten around to it. I
was just wondering how difficult it was to setup.

Which graphics card would you recommend? Is there a big difference
between Mobility Radeon 9600 and Mobility Radeon x300? Is the Intel
graphics 900 any good (I'm guessing this is integrated).
I want to do a little bit of gaming, but not a ton.
Also, I am planning on trying out xgl, so it needs to be fast enough for
that.
Thanks,
