Tony- I bet we could get another bunch from the list together at Sowbug next
March. Hope you are feeling better and keep cool in this hot weather in
MO/ARK. Will see you at conclave! – Dail Graham

Seems there are several of us that open the list first thing in the morning and
put it to bed at night. As you do Joyce, I do the same. I wish there was a way
for all of us to get together. The closest we have come is at the Sowbug show
when we had 37 members there. We had a get together at the show one afternoon.
I was presented with a box of flies.

I agree..and sad to say, I, like others, am getting older and not fishing nor
tying as much. However, this list is the first thing I read in the morning,
and usually the last I read at night, so I am still very dependent on learning
more from those who know so much more about fishing and tying than I do.
And..I love the recipes for food, the patterns, the fishing reports, and am
always happy to add prayers for those who are on this list and those they love.
 Keep it coming. Joyc

I think after a while there is not much to say so things slow down quite a

I have not mentioned on the list but I am having some medical problems for
the past three years so I have not been posting much about tying or fishing. I
would like to see the list come back to it's "Glory Days" like it once was.
Loosing some of the posters like Murph, Mark and Larry on the list has also
made a difference.
I for one will hang in there as long as there is a list.

Better re-invented and re-growing than dead and forgotten. A quick gathering
of the troops into Googlegroups was a good saviour when the Troutnet domain
suddenly died on us. We did lose quite a few members though. 3,5 years later we
are 209 of us - a third of the former list. But I don't think it made a big
change in traffic. "The Big Four" (as described by the About Us list) - Don,
Tony, JimmyD and Jimi, were quickly back on track and started to generate
replies from the rest of us. My Outlook post file never noticed a difference.

  Morning VFB'ers:

It does my heart good to see so much activity on the list these last few
days. As one of the VFB managers/monitors, whatever, I have not seen anything
out of the way, no flamming, plenty of good natured banter, via DonO and Nick
and a few others Good stuff all around.
Even Byard has put in his 2 cents wort several times. Good to see
he's pleased with the Re-invented VFB.
