Are you suggesting that there is a natural store of magnetic spin energy which can be tapped by one of these devices? I am under the impression that they are extracting the overall magnetic energy due to internal alignment of the magnetic domains. In your concept, what does a material that has this energy depleted behave as? How would it differ from other chunks of the same type that are fresh? Is there any way to measure a before and after effect other than by measuring the change in external fields?
