Depending on your area and coverage the Vodafone plans are also well worth
looking at. I have heard that 3 Mobiles will be very good.

In regard to your time frame, if your existing contract comes to an end on
July 30, you can choose to continue to pay monthly without committing to
another contract. Carriers do use the end of contract time to 'coerce' you
into signing a new contract, and sometimes it is worth it if they throw in a
discount or free handset. The last Telstra contract I had I left running for
about 3 months after then end before switching to Vodafone. The main reason
was that they left it until the last month of my contract to tell me I could
save money on a lower cost plan when they could have switched me over 6
months earlier!
