I ask the question because, unless you've been living in a back-drop down-under 
or something, <snigger>, you would probably have heard of companies who run 
so-called server or other platforms whose illicit purpose is to gather 
unsolicited data regarding those who use the solution.  Once that data is 
gathered, they proceed to sell and otherwise abuse the data without the 
knowledge or consent of the owners of that data.  Google is a case in point.  
They are probably the world's largest search engine now.  Yet still, they 
deploy tracking cookies which give them a breakdown of a user's Internet 
activities.

Who, including myself, is to say that Freedom Scientific doesn't do likewise? I 
made the point that I do not have any reason at this time to suspect them of 
any illicit motives. However, I am cautious and usually, by definition I'm 
afraid, very guarded.
