Thanks for telling us about them.

Right, perhaps this then?

Now one would need to update the translations too...

I agree that documentation is not optimal, but this one is in the NEWS file:
History and AutoComplete in the run dialog
------------------------------------------
The "Run..." dialog now autocompletes executables in your path (triggered by
the TAB key) and records the history of past commands (last 500 by default).
It can also complete folder names if you start the complete with a "/"
To use it replace %a with %A in the "Run..." entry in your WMRootMenu file.
See commit 05720d97076ffc1569e5 for more details.

Hm, ok. But there was some discussion already about the usefulness of those
hardcoded menus (my opinion is that they're useless). One day I hope they
will be deleted from the repo in favour of the automatic menu generators
(wmgenmenu and wmmenugen).
But there are three instances of this translation:
[mafra@Pilar:wmaker.git]$ git grep rrouiller
WindowMaker/menu.fr: "Vérrouiller" EXEC xlock -allowroot -usefirst
WindowMaker/plmenu.fr: ("Vérrouiller", EXEC, "xlock -allowroot -usefirst"),
po/fr.po:msgstr "Verrouiller (l'icône ne peut être enlevée)"
and apart from the doomed menus, the one in po/fr.po is correct :-)
Would you like to start a French translation of the on-the-fly menu generator
'wmgenmenu'? So far there's only the German translation :-(
I share some of your other points too, but unfortunately I haven't tried to
do anything about them yet :-(
