I did have some RFI issues which I fixed a couple weeks ago with the SignaLink and rig USB cord by putting them on a different hub (non-powered). May have just swapped to a different problem. But before you could hear both the disconnect and reconnect sounds and WSJT-X would complain about rig control lost. Now it's just the disconnect. I'm going to try and find out what device is causing it...it may be a different RFI problem. Hopefully I can figure this out but Windows doesn't generate an event apparently on device connect/disconnect (lots of other events that I don't care about though :-) I also bough a metallic USB hub so may see if that fixes it too. Hopefully it's reproducable...I'll let you know. It sounded just like the problem you described with just the disconnect sound though which is why I mentioned it. I agree...can't think of why it would cause it. Does WSPR send CW id at end of transmission? Could that be a higher power event?

Hi Mike, that seems to be an RFI issue; USB connections, especially hubs are prone to RFI and will disconnect devices at the slightest level of interference. This is probably due to noise on the USB 5V line as that line is already used to detect USB device disconnection. I've found that laptop mouse pads are particularly prone to this issue. 73 Bill G4WJS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
