AKN: I was told of a story by an Assamese who were a guest with a Naga friend one day. The Naga friend told him that they were going to eat 'pohu manso' that night. The Assamese friend was very much excited as he had not had  pohu  manso (deer meat) for a long time. Luckily he asked the Naga friend where he was going to get pohu manso. The naga firned told, why we have severals pohus in our own house, and showed the dogs. It was only later only that the Assamese came to know that the Nagas call all animanls as pohu, and a dog is simply called a 'kukur pohu' I say, it pays to know the language.
