Re: explaining things with on the spot thoughts
@4 I would call that a distraction then, not a coping method. I play bk3 and code python to forget about my thoughts. It does the opposite of writing, but it has the same effect, doing nothing about it. Well with coding I have a little reward, which is why it is often my top distraction, but it's still not helping my problem.
@5 yeah if you think about time then it the truth becomes more blury. But I am talking about using instant random thoughts that fly onto the page and saying I thought about this 3 months ago or whatever. This doesn't matter to the reader, they have no idea. But to the author, it is curious to think, is this a lie? Since I didn't come up with it 3 months ago, it was 3 seconds ago. I can't be the first person who's been curious about this.
