You argue around the actual question that is done in a double blind test: "Dear listener, you will listen to the same track over and over again. Sometimes the track will be played via the Touch without TT3, sometimes with TT3. Your task is to write down, when you listened to a Touch with TT3" Even if you use the same Touch all the time - the results from the listeners will be random. Now we can also use a modded Touch and find out: a) if the mod has no effect (because we'd get the same random result in answers, as when we didn't mod at all) b) if the mode has an effect (because the answers start to not be random anymore, listener will have a much higher 'hitrate') It does not matter if we put listeners under the impression that we changed something, when indeed we didn't.
