This was exactly the reason - because it ships aditional ca certs than the mozilla ones. Note that ca-bundle.crt in BLFS is actually called ca-certificates.crt there, so adjust your scripts or simply drop the switches pointing to the blfs ca bundle - this one gets auto detected for most if not all the packages. > Might as well pull it though.
