Yes Hire Boaters can get in there we saw a 67 foot hireboat enter from the Avon and wind into a mooring stern first. There were at least four other hire boats moored there. No idea on the cost but its the place to be! Go for the basin! It is one of my ambitions to moor there someday. If you lose out you will just have to wind and poke your head back up the Stratford canal or go down and moor with the geese on the Avon across from the RSC theatre. You will have a ready and willing audience but other boaters will help if you need it. Trevor
