When I say a lift, I mean a frame that sinks below the floating boat that is then winched (electrical winch) up clear of the water. My source of the lift suggests that I do not need to support the keel, instead just let it hand below and support the hull. He suggested that I use a pair of carpeted rails that run almost the length of the boat and mostly under the boat to support it and let the keel hang in the open air.
