I agree with you Gel, but you know it's funny: Both you and Phil made the
same argument and yet both your needs for that kind of vehicle are
demonstrably other than just for the charge of it. I'm not sure what that
shows. Maybe that even when there is a need there is still an ego boost
element to owning an SUV?
Anyways, it's not about the stupidity of the drivers, it's about the
stupidity of the all the single-user SUVs out there that people only drive
to feel good and "look good". And it's about the catch-22 of people feeling
like they have to own an SUV even though they live in the city because
they're afraid they will get hit by another one. It's a bad scene, that's
all I'm saying.

But sadly vehicles cost about 20,000US more in Trinidad than in the US
