This depends a lot on the layout of the house. In my current house I wish I had it. We've been doing painting of deck railings and such and I'd much rather clean my brushes/rollers in the garage than bring them inside and down the basement stairs to the laundry area, risking getting paint on stuff inside. In the house I grew up in though, the laundry room was right inside from the garage and that was a short enough distance that it was okay. It's not a deal killer, but I do wish I had the sink in the garage. Of course, then it would be a fixed obstruction to my putting in shelving and saws and such.
