Suppose that drugs would allow some people to become productive adults. I don't want to sound like a damn Canadian but I have heard the idea expressed -- by medical doctors -- that a lot of illegal drug users are actually self-medicating for depression. Hypothetically, assuming that is true, and ignoring the people who are in fact using drugs as a means to be self-destructive, would you still be against it?
