Too many variables in health care. Insurance companies are monopolies
so they aren't going to cut prices unless you knock down state
borders. I don't know much about that so hold your fire about states
rights. If shopping for a hip or a kidney than yeah you can shop a
deal online. General health you need a doctor you can trust, he needs
to do tests he thinks will find something and most won't. People can't
micro-manage their health like that so they need an umbrella that will
give the doc freedom to check hunches even if all the blood work is
$800, the MRI is a grand and hopefully won't find anything. That
brings us back to the monopolies.

Machines are still too expensive. Doctors are fighting with insurance
co's now and even harder with medi-care/aid and costs are going up. At
least people are healthy. Remove more money from the system and the
health will suffer.

 I don't believe easy credit is why health care is expens
