The point is to be able to pay medical expenses with pre-tax dollars. Yea, it is difficult at first to figure it out, we always low-balled our estimates. The only year we had money left over was a few years ago, on Dec. 30th we went and bought band-aids, Motrin, cold medicine etc. to make up the difference (those are no longer allowed, though). May take a few cycles to get the number correct, but it is not as bad as some make it out to be.
