I don't think it is a discrimination issue at all!!  I just don't think that
woman have had the interest or desire for the field.  I am not sure why this
is, maybe because men are more prone to waste money on gadgets, if you did a
survey on how many men versus woman wasted money on very expensive stereo
equipment that now collects dust I am sure that there are more men!!!  I
think that the field definitely needs more diversity.  Everyone has
different views, the more views you have on something....the faster things
are solved.

And to build off of what Peter wrote how about these names....

Priscilla Oppenheimer (Network Pioneer)
Nancy Sackett (SNA Master)
Laura Chappel (Overall GURU)

and how about the co-founder of Cisco Systems, which I can't remember her
name...
