Personally, I would use two separate hoses for the devices, both led from the solenoid. The Trident solenoid is cheap and rusts quickly—I prefer the made by (I can’t think of the name right now) but it is made of aluminum and stainless steel. There is a lot of condensation that is created in a propane locker—this enables the heavy rusting.
