For a vented PYI, you need to make sure that the vent is high enough above the water level or you risk getting burps of water if you need to go into high reverse (e.g. when docking or emergency stopping). Some use a bottle that collect these burps. I plumbed the vent into the sink drain. As long as you open the drain occasionally, no issues.
