Shawn, I've been travelling so a bit late on replying. Look at this:

We have a pressure alcohol stove and the port really helps to vent the fumes. The only trick is to ensure the bulkhead thickness is uniform. I inserted wooden dowels between the cockpit bulkhead and headliner. Dennis C.
