The only problem with an outer door is that it would eliminate the first
row
of first class seats.  The airlines would fight it to the end.  On a more
positive note, it would make room for a pilot's latrine which would be
necessary for long flights.  There are some definite possibilities there!

On another train of thought, I think the security issue just may have
taken
care of itself.  In lieu of these hijackings, I don't think passengers
will
be nearly as passive as they have been.  The first thing that would come
to
my mind is that we are going to die anyway.  I think you will see
passengers
rushing the hijackers on all hijacked flights from now on.  One thing
about
us Americans, we only get burned once!

Why not seal the cockpit have outside door for the drivers to enter
