I've had the (mis)?fortune to use yast and yum, and they both suck compared to apt. I just can't sugar coat it any. I am a *true* programmer, the ideas I get, and I don't really care about how they are implemented. But in this case, the implementation of yum and yast shows the poor ideas behind them, and that is what has burrowed underneath my skin.
