Well thats nice that someone did this. However for me this simulation concerns me quite a lot. I'll probably look into the code, for me this conclusion cannot be right. --- I looked at the graph again in the first place: I think you made an interpretation error. Most messages are nearby messages, but also most links are nearby links. What I'd like to have is the number of messages per Link, and not in an absolute manner. I mean if 10 short links have 5 times more traffic, but we have only one long link, this single link has relativly still twice the traffic to a short link. But I'll look into the simulation aswell.
