Thanks Maxine. You're right about the help in the auction UI not working a while ago, but is working now. The product manager and developer recently asked me for the location of the help so that they could fix that problem. I'd forgotten about that, sorry.
I can update the documentation to include the escrow period, the renewal fee (which I believe is in addition to the redemption fee, but will double-check), and the fact that the domain cannot be transferred to another registrar within the first 60 days. I'll get that updated for the end of next week. I can't promise any changes to the auction UI, but will forward your request for an "I have read and agree to the terms..." checkbox to the product manager. It's not the documentation in the resellers area, it is the documentation in the Tucows auction area for the end-user. If you click on the Help link and you are using a mozilla browser it opens the help section, however, the navigation does not always work. In checking this morning it does seem to be working, at least on the first page. I have not opened all help links. Up until recently the help section opened in a small 100px by 100px box that could not even be re-sized. However, no where in the help section does it advise the bidder of the escrow period, or the fact that the winning bidder MAY be subject to a charge by their respective auction provider. It's my feeling this information should be handled much like a domain registration is handled. The bidder should be subjected to a check box that would indicate they have read and agree with the auction terms, including the fact that a domain can not be transferred to another registrar within the first 60 days.
