My mail action filed the "Too Dumb" subject lines in the correct folder. It is not that my mail actions don't work. It's that I saw a message coming in under connect now that said :"Too Dumb" and I thought it was a personal message that mighta gotten misfiled.
I have 40+ mail actions, and some of them are *anti-spam* mail actions that sometimes put the wrong thing in the wrong place. Jeezus. Yes, I can look in the logs, yes, it turns out CE put it in the CE folder. But what I am trying to avoid is something that I feel like you guys just don't understand. I will try one more time, and then I give up. Please do not tell me how to run my mail actions *again*, I know how mail actions work. When I "Connect Now", I see the subject lines come through, one by one. I scan that as the messages are coming in. I take note if there are important messages. I have *alot* of mailboxes including *40* mail actions. Within those mail actions, I have 2 sets that are for *spam* that puts mostly crap in a spam folder. Occasionally, a message comes in that *looks* like it might be personal by the subject line, but it doesn't show up in my inbox. In order to use my logs, I have to look through *hundreds* of emails there, because I get *alot* of mail (I have 14 accounts) . Then, I look in my *spam* folder to make sure that good mail didnt turn up there. Lastly, I look in my CE folder, and whammo, there it is. This process happens enough that I thought I'd ask the list for a [CE} in the subject line. If our list had [CE] in the subject lines, this problem would be alleviated for me. If I read another person telling me to use the logs, or how to use the logs, I am going to scream. before you tell me what to do and how to do it, please just read my posts. I have tried over and over again to explain this tiny problem and am getting annoyed with folks telling me to read my logs folder, or to use mail actions. I can drop the idea if no one is interested in it. I forgot to think how resistant to change people are. Evie [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >>That is why a mail action does not adress it.
