My mail actions work really well for me. I think what it comes down to is that I have 2 specific mail actions that help me filter spam. *Sometimes* it moves the wrong message into the spam folder. I do occasionally look at the logs folder, but I get so many messages (probably avereage on 200 + messages a day, from 14 accounts) that gets filed into more than 50 or so nested mail folders. I am a webmaster of multiple domains for multiple clients.
I just checked with 2 other folks who I know who use CE heavily, and they both also watch the "connect now" dialogue as mail comes in. They also read the subject lines and take notice if anything looks like it needs attention and have to track down messages sometimes. So, I guess it comes down to the fact that my SPAM mail action sometimes misplaces things. I have it set pretty broadly, and I like it that way. here's the scenario: 120 messages come in. I notice (in the Connect Now box via the subject lines scrolling by) a message that looks personal, but doesn't show up in the inbox. I look in the SPAM folder. It is not there. Then I look through the logs. I have too many messages to be bothered with (becasue I also don't check my logs every time, so there may be 500 or 1,000 emails there). Then, I look in CE folder, and whammo, there it is, the message I thought was personal. Like I have said many times, having the [ce] would help this problem, for me and for two other folks who are not on this list, but who do the same thing. Thanks for your time, everyone. I'm done now.
