Understandable if you haven't seen one.
There are very common in the US.   I understand that wire transfers are 
very common in the EU so you probably don't have a need for Certified 
Checks.
The banks here gouge us for wire transfers.   Its ridiculous. However 
they can clear an electronic transaction between banks in minutes now.
