Ugh, some extrusions are anodized, so a very mushy pure
aluminum (1100) core with a really HARD outer skin.
That is extremely hard even on carbide cutters, and will eat
plain HSS in seconds. Even re-cast, it may contain
some of the aluminum oxide from the anodizing mixed into it.
