IMHO, both configure.ac (for edje and remix) should be fixed to respect $libdir and install the 64-bits libs in the right place.
that's because raster keeps setting libdir in configure.ac while, like every variables that are based on $prefix, they are not set at configure time, but at make time.
I have a patch that fix that, in addition to cleaning a bit the autotools, but I have to check it a bit more (it changes the names of what AC_DEFINE defines). And I have a cold. So if you can wait 2 or 3 days...
