Well, despite the tediousness of SHIFT LYRICS, I ended up with a correct result, and it didn't take all that long. Had the lyrics in question been at the *beginning* of the EDIT LYRICS window, then I would have been better off starting over from scratch. Thanks to all who've offered advice on recovery. I don't have to redo the lyrics, and for that I'm very glad. -- David W.
