(1) The ability to upload the PDF file into the composer's category of
choice.
(2) The ability for anyone in the world to purchase the PDF files.
(3) No action whatsoever necessary on the part of the composer when
purchases are placed.
(4) Automatic payment collection according to the composer's criteria for
how often, upon which achieved threshold, etc.
(5) An area for user feedback about each piece, similar to how CDNow.com is
set up.
(6) Visible statistics about the total amount of purchases for the world to
see.
(7) Pricing controlled by the composer (and changeable at will by the
composer).
(8) NO ADVERTISEMENTS -- TEXT ONLY SITE on demand.
(9) Minescule commissions payed only per purchase and calculated only from
the payed amounts, so the composer is never billed for anything.
(10) A site which is set up in such a way that the composer (or anyone) can
link from the www to that exact piece (or at least that exact composer's
list of pieces). In other words, once an internet address is created for one
single piece, it never changes (is not dynamically created by server
software, or if so, never changes afterwards).
(11) A site which would not make competition possible between composers. No
BOLD TEXT for an extra fee, no little colorful icons for an extra fee, no
front-page coverage for an extra fee. Basically, nothing that would turn it
into another Ebay of flashing lights and cheap attention-grabbers.
