Sibelius is bragging these days that even hard-core Finale corporations such as Hal Leonard are switching to Sibelius because of its on-line publishing capabilities and the Scorch plug-in for browsers.

When I worked in a Sibelius-oriented engraving shop, Hal Leonard was far and away our biggest customer. This was several years ago. Hal Leonard have been using Sibelius's Scorch as an on-line publishing method for a long time now.

I have to admit, there are a lot of things I can't stand about Sibelius, but the Scorch plugin is very well done. It has better DRM (digital rights management) and more flexibility (i.e., transposition, playback) than a PDF, so I can see why companies have been flocking to Sibelius for their online editions.
